Today was my birthday. I'm 17...17 is sort of uneventful lol. There's 13...16...18...and 17 is just sort of..there. But anywho, my day started off as pretty crappy. I don't really know why, but I can't remember a birthday where I haven't cried. Everyone was jumping down my throat when I first woke up, which is not a good thing.

So Em came and took me to IHOP. Because nothing screams birthday class like pancakes darn it! It was fun though. I am so mature and ordered off the kids menu.

OH and she bought me the sexiest gay man everrrrrr. XD Freakin' Adam Lambert's CD. It's amazing. *fangirls*

I bought myself a pair of purple pants. :3 They're hardcore.



My sister bought me cat toys...ROFL. She couldn't think of anything else...so..when you're 9 and you've got $10 you spend it on cat toys. And she got me this little cat cube thing that opens and closes. Except I negleted to read the "CAUTION: Spring Loaded - Keep away from face while opening!" until AFTER I whacked myself in the face with it. I'm smartical.

I also got a subscription to National Geographic, a calendar, and gift cards to Starbucks and Barnes & Noble.



I have my first PAID photo shoot tomorrow! I'm really nervous because I'm photographing a 7 month old..and well..I'm not the best with kids. But I told her (the mom) that if the pictures didn't turn out, I wouldn't charge her. Only fair right? Wish me luck!



OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! Em's family has committed to adopt a little boy from Ukraine! I'm so excited for them! His name is Victor and he's 10 years old and really cute. This is going to be a long process for them and they could use all the support and prayers they can get! Victor needs to come home!

Like that's a big surprise. It's old news now, lol. I really have been a bad deviant lately *shame*. But honestly, school is kicking my butt! This is my senior year, but it's like I'm cramming two years of work into one. I honestly haven't had the time to spend writing journals. But hey! That's what Fall Break is for, right?



I broke up with my boyfriend a few months ago. It sucked, but it needed to be done. We're still friends, though things are quite different than before, but that's to be expected. I've come to learn that boys are dumb, no offense to all of the male gender. You just are. It's your DNA. That's why God created women, so that we can make sure you don't destroy everything.

I may have lost a boyfriend, but I gained something that gives unconditional love. A kitty. :3 My mom and I have been saying for over a year that we wanted a cat, and we finally got one. There's no reason to spend hundreds of dollars on a purebred cat when so many cats in shelters need homes. Thus, we went to the closest shelter to find a cat.

We were about to give up for the day, but in the last cage we found one. So now our home is host to a 1 1/2 yr old Tortoiseshell renamed Kumatsuki. If my Japanese isn't off, it means moon bear or bear of the moon or something like that.

So anyway, expect to see a billion pictures of my Tsuki, because I love her and she is the awesomest, sweetest, most psycho kitty ever. XD Seriously, I just looked over and she's attacking a piece of paper. Now she's meowing at me like "It started it!". lol.



I'm going to see Phantom of the Opera next Tuesday!! I'm excited! My mom and drove to see Wicked in San Diego a couple months ago and I got her hooked on theatre. XD

I have a lot of pictures I need to upload, but they're all at my dads (where my external hard drive is). Hopefully I can fit in more time for DA, But if not, just pretend I'm out fighting zombies.

As you can tell I am pretty much awesome when it comes to updating my journal these days. I mean, one or two every month or so...that's like....astronomical. I just can't believe how awesome that is...

But really, I haven't been updating much. I've been much busier this summer than I originally had anticipated. I've hardly had the time to sit down and even write a short journal.(That's pretty much a lie but we're going to stick with it for the sake of appearances, mmk?)




One thing I learned this past week is to never trust a firework salesman. My grandpa's house in Texas sits on about 1 1/2 acres just barely in town limits. Since he's in city limits, we're not supposed to do fireworks at all; not even sparklers.But being the awesome dumb southerners we are, we sometimes still do small things like fountains.

Anywho, the time comes when the kids (all 11 of them mind you. Gah) are begging me to do the "foun-in" - the T is silent when you have an accent - So I go to set the little fountain on the drive way and tell all the kids to get out of the way.

I was confident that this would be a tame little fountain - barely more than a sparkler for I had asked specifically for one that would be ok. It even looked normal, and the description was "emits small showers of sparks."

No big deal right? Wrong. When I lit it, the thing began to screech and spin around in freaking CIRCLES and then LAUNCH ITSELF UP INTO THE FREAKING TREE only to come down IN A FLAMING BALL OF FREAKING FIRE. Yeah. Real nice. I'm just glad nothing caught on fire and no one was hurt. Sheesh.




I've been back home about four days now. Just enough to do laundry and repack to go to camp. I'll be gone until Saturday. OMG.But it'll be fun. I hope you all are having a great summer!
